Getting Ready....

Well, after running the Myrtle Beach Marathon two weeks ago, I think I am recovered enough to start looking toward the future for the next race. I was definitely sore for a couple of days after the race, and people claimed that I was doing the "marathon shuffle". I am not sure if the Hooters pitcher of beer, bacon cheeseburger, fries and frickles that I consumed after the marathon really helped either. :-)

I am running a half marathon in Atlanta on March 30. Any advice about this race? I am running it with a friend from Atlanta, and this is her FIRST half marathon. She has done very well with the training and is running 10 milers on the weekend. I am so excited to share this experience with her. She and I are also running Chicago in October, and we are all praying for nice weather!

The next big race on my plate is Boston! I am so excited to be able to run there in April, but I do have a few concerns: weather, hills, distractions and traveling. I am planning on running this one for fun, and taking in all of the surroundings and really experiencing the essence of such a legendary race. For those who have ran the Boston marathon or have cheered from the sidelines, any advice for this first timer?
